Q. How can I apply for the service?
A. You can easily apply for the Broadband connection by completing the online application
form or by contacting the Customer Care Department at 1293.

A. The service is currently available in following areas: Beirut, Metn, Sidon, Tripoli, Keserwan and Jbeil.

Q. Do I have to dial up my ISP?
A. Wireless internet access is an "always on" service. This means that you do not have to wait for your modem to dial up, just open your internet browser, you will be prompted for a username and password, once you enter them, you are authenticated, and you are on the internet within seconds.

Q. Do I have to worry about security?
A. Any transaction through this service is as secure as any transmission over cable or wire.

Q. Do I get a real IP address?
A. You get assigned a fake IP address which will be translated (NAT) by the server to a dynamic real IP as if you are connected through dialup.

Q. Will all Internet applications run using Broadband Service?
A. Yes. All applications such as msn video and voice chatting, Net2phone, Kaza etc.. will work without any problem.

Q. Can wireless Internet Access be shared among multiple computers?
A. You will only be assigned a single IP address. However, you can still use proxy software such as Wingate or ISA to share your connection with multiple users. This requires special setup, but Terranet highly discourages you from doing that as it will substantially degrade
your service. The service is designed to be used on a single computer only.

Q. Does weather affect the service?
A. Some extreme weather conditions affect the service, such as wind blowing the dish off
target, water soaking connectors or service outages. Generally, rain does not have an appreciable effect on wireless service.
